Good morning! Welcome to the brand new week of possibilities! Today we are looking at the government shutdown and possible tariff dividend.

Outside of the US we are looking at France's ex-PM, Honduras election and a new contender to SpaceX Starship.

Stay ahead of the game with our forward-looking morning brief.

Top Movers

#1 End Of Government Shutdown?

https://polymarket.com/event/will-the-government-shutdown-end-by-763/will-the-government-shutdown-end-by-november-15-668?tid=1762764780676

After over 40 days of disagreement, it looks like we shall see the end of shutdown by November 15th.

Some Democrats joined the Republicans to advance a short-term funding measure, a key step to open the government further down the line. Although there are still a few more steps ahead, traders are confident that progress signals some consensus being in place.

#2 Tariff Dividend Coming?

https://polymarket.com/event/will-trump-create-a-tariff-dividend-in-2025/will-trump-create-a-tariff-dividend-in-2025

Despite Trump's announcement, traders are bearish on tariff dividend coming.

After SCOTUS looked skeptical of legality of Trump's tariffs, the President went on the offensive. Sending Americans paychecks tied to tariff revenue may entrench them too deep for SCOTUS to revoke them. However the measure still needs Congressional approval

#3 Sarkozy Out Sooner Than Expected?

https://polymarket.com/event/nicolas-sarkozy-released-from-custody-by-december-31/nicolas-sarkozy-released-from-custody-by-november-30

The odds of Nicolas Sarkozy being released from custody this months rose sharply.

We learned that the court is ready to hear the case today, paving the way for an early release. Previously traders were uncertain of the date of the hearing. He was sentenced for seeking Libyan funds for his campaign.

#4 Close Election in Honduras

https://polymarket.com/event/honduras-presidential-election/will-salvador-alejandro-csar-nasralla-salum-win-the-2025-honduras-presidential-election

Early lead Salvador Nasralla enjoyed in polling is being slowly eroded.

Current president with 64% approval rating is not eligible for reelection and her left wing party chose Rixi as its candidate. Leading Salvador is current president's first VP, before he stepped down last year. The up and coming Nasry is a conservative, hoping to capitalize on left-wing's division.

With polling usually unreliable in developing countries, we are looking ahead for further volatility in the market.

#5 Starship Has Competition?

https://polymarket.com/event/rocket-labs-neutron-rocket-launch-by-december-31/rocket-labs-neutron-rocket-launch-by-december-31

Odds of a Rocket Lab's Neutron rocket launch this year rose sharply after rumors that it was seen being assembled.

I didn't find any reporting on that, but I doubt insiders are on the market considering low volume. We shall see soon as Rocket Lab has Q3 earnings call today.
