Outside of the global affairs we also examine the fall of DOGE and Trump's selective focus as he seems to have forgotten about his threat to sue BBC amid the global turmoil.

#1 Peace Attempts
Traders want to believe in peace in Ukraine arriving quickly, but the reality is brutal.
With only 37 days left in a year, the prospects of Russia and Ukraine agreeing to any framework remain slim. Especially since the talks in Geneva resulted in an updated 28 point plan that will surely be even less appealing to Russia (they said the original was not bad, but not to their liking either).
#2 Maduro's Last Birthday?
While it doesn't seem Ukraine war is ending anytime soon, another one looks more and more likely to start.
After a series of news around new operations in Venezuela being prepared, traders are accumulating Yes positions as the designation of Cartel de los Soles as a terrorist goes into effect today. Planes have already started avoiding Venezuelan airspace. One would think they will allow soldiers to eat a Thanksgiving meal in peace before starting anything major though.
#3 Tensions in the Middle East
Israel keeps expanding the definition of the word "cease" in ceasefire as traders are increasingly expecting a counter-reaction.
Israeli strikes have targeted and killed a top military commander in Hezbollah - Haytham Ali Tabatabai. It's yet another in a series of strikes, but a first one in Beirut in a long while. Tnesions are definitely escalating, however with the US being busy in Ukraine and Venezuela, we expect ceasefires to hold for now.
#4 Victim Of Its Own Device
In a surprising move, DOGE was closed.
Well, not exactly. But the writing on the wall is clear - the agency and its policies is effectively done and key people moved to other departments within the government. Or in a final step towards efficiency, the agency removed itself?
#5 Short Attention Span
Traders don't believe that Trump can effectively focus on foreign policy and legal battles.
It seems that the whole case against BBC died down as Trump switched his focus on Ukraine, Venezuela and MBS visit. Kier Starmer also mentioned that Trump is yet to speak with him on the matter.
